    Since joining the team in 2017, John has taken forward several work streams to identify subsidy free renewable energy development opportunities in the UK. 

    Utilising his analytic and Geographic Information System (GIS) skills, he has added and advanced projects to development stage, and is often out of the office meeting landowners and agents, assessing the potential of new sites. 

    John has previously worked at renewable energy supplier Bulb.

    Ruth Semple
    Community Liaison Manager

    Ruth has worked in the UK onshore wind sector for over 11 years, building and establishing relationships with communities and stakeholders associated with a project throughout its lifecycle.

    She joined the team at the end of 2020 and is based in the Glasgow Office having previously worked in community or estate management roles at Natural Power, ScottishPower and SSE Renewables.

    Alison Hood
    Communications Manager

    Specialising in community consultation and engagement on infrastructure projects, Alison has worked in the UK onshore wind sector for nearly 15 years. 

    She joined the team in 2012 and has worked across wind farm projects during development and construction, including working with communities to establish over 15 community benefit funds. 

    In 2015 she was awarded the RenewableUK Award for Excellence for her “Fact Check the Energy Bill” campaign.

    Tom Walker
    Senior Project Manager

    Tom has a Masters Degree in Renewable Energy Enterprise and Management (MSc) and has extensive experience of development, entirely within the wind energy sector. 

    Tom joined Airvolution (now Statkraft) in 2014 as Development Manager, having previously been at RWE on the Graduate training programme. 

    Initially responsible for consenting and implementing projects, since 2017 Tom has been working to build up a pipeline of sites for the next phase of subsidy free projects.
