Statkraft have now submitted a planning application for Swansea Greener Grid Park Extension to Swansea Council (REF: 2025/0855/FUL).
Our plans have been informed by the feedback from the pre-application consultation and we are grateful for the engagement received.

Statkraft, Europe's largest generator of renewable energy, have notified local residents and representatives of updated plans for an extension to the Swansea Greener Grid Park on land to the east of Swansea North substation, near Morriston.
We are consulting the community in advance of submitting a planning application, and welcome your questions and feedback. This includes a drop-in public exhibition at Llangyfelach Church Hall, 2 Heol-y-Geifr, Morriston, SA5 7JD on Thursday, 6 March 2025, from 3.30 pm - 7.30 pm.
A virtual exhibition will also run on this project website from 6 March - 13 March, with the same information shown at our drop-in exhibition.
In line with Welsh consultation requirements, our draft planning application documents are available to view for 28 days in advance of our submission. These are available on our project website from 17 February 2025 – 17 March 2025.
Statkraft, Europe's largest generator of renewable energy, have notified local residents and community leaders of a proposal for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at our consented Swansea Greener Grid Park.
