The load will be managed by police escort for the duration of the journey, and we expect that there will be a period of approximately 20 minutes on Saturday and Wednesday afternoon when traffic will be stopped whilst the vehicle turns into the site entrance. The Police will be aware of potential access issues for emergency vehicles at the time and can take appropriate action to manage this.
We expect two further deliveries to site that will require police escort and the exact dates for these are still being confirmed.
We will keep this website updated as details are confirmed.
The next arrival to the site is our final delivery of the transformers - electrical equipment which connects the project to the electricity grid.
The transformers will land at Swansea Docks and travel along Kings Road and Langdon Road before heading north up the A483 and the B4489 towards Felindre.

Statkraft has commenced construction at Swansea Greener Grid Park.
Swansea Greener Grid Park will help achieve zero carbon emissions in Wales by increasing the stability of the electricity grid and the amount of renewable energy being delivered to the grid network.
The project will provide an essential service to stabilise the power grid and allow more renewable energy to be transmitted through the network, without relying on coal and gas-fired power stations. This means fewer harmful emissions, and lower bills for consumers, because renewable energy is cheaper. The final plans received unanimous support from Swansea Council in July 2023.
We are taking various steps to minimise disruption to local roads during construction, including speed checks on all our vehicles and regular vehicle cleaning.
We will provide regular updates on construction progress through this website. Get in touch to leave a comment at ukprojects@statkraft.com or call on 0800 772 0668 if you would like any further information.
