Latest news
Following our recent consultation event in October 2024, we have renamed our proposed development in St Austell from Treviscoe Solar Farm to Trerice Solar Farm.
During our consultation events in 2021 and at our most recent event last month, the local community expressed a preference for a name that better reflects the area closest to the development.
We believe Trerice Solar Farm more accurately captures this, and the name change aligns with our commitment to listen to and incorporate community feedback where possible. We thank the community for their valuable input and engagement throughout this process.
Statkraft is grateful to everyone from the local community who attended our information day for Treviscoe Solar Farm.
We were pleased to welcome around 50 visitors to the information event held on 23 October at St Dennis AFC. We also held an online exhibition on a dedicated web site for those who couldn’t attend in person.
At the event, residents were able to view our revised proposals, provide feedback on the proposals and ask the development team questions.
We are inviting local residents to our project information drop-in event on Wednesday 23rd October 2024, 3.00pm – 7.00pm, at Pitch Sports Bar Function Room, St Dennis AFC, Boscawen Park, Saint Austell, PL26 8DT.
The project team are looking forward to meeting the local community, providing an update on our proposed plans and will be on hand to answer any questions.
Solar Energy UK has published its second Solar Habitat report, looking at trends and observations from 87 solar farms in the UK, highlighting how solar farms and their management can interact with local biodiversity. You can read the Solar Habitat 2024 here.
For the sixth consecutive year, Statkraft have released its Low Emissions Scenario - an analysis of the energy world towards 2050.
The Scenario covers the energy transition necessary to move towards a low emissions world.
In July 2021, we consulted over 1,000 local residents in the Treviscoe and St Dennis area on the plans for the Treviscoe solar farm.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the public exhibition was hosted online, with residents able to send in questions about the initial plans. We updated our proposals following feedback from Parish Councils and residents.
Wildfires which devastated much of the Moray countryside in the north of Scotland last year have led to increased environmental benefits being proposed by Europe’s largest renewable energy producer.
