About Stargoose

Stargoose Solar Farm is a renewable energy project located on the Childerley Estate, just north of the village of Childerley in South Cambridgeshire. received a planning approval to develop the project from South Cambridgeshire Council in April 2022 following a public consultation on our plans in 2021.

The site has been carefully selected for its ability to generate clean, solar-powered electricity and connect efficiently to the local grid. Once operational, the project is expected to generate around 70 GWh of electricity each year, enough to power 29,000 homes.

Following planning approval, developer Statkraft sought an amendment to our planning application to remove the previously consented battery storage aspect of the scheme to remove this from the project.
