Principal contractor for the 132kV grid works mobilise on site

Statkraft's appointed grid contractor have now mobilised on site and commenced works for the new access track and passing bays from the existing bell mouth entrance up to where the new substation area is located.

Principal contractor for the enabling works mobilise on site

Statkraft's appointed civil contractor have begun to mobilise on site and commence works for the new access bypass road around the Childerley Estate. Construction works for the new road are expected to be completed end of September.

132 kV tower replaced on site

Between August and December 2025, UK Power Networks (UKPN) constructed the necessary grid works on site at Stargoose.

132/33kV Transformer order placed

Statkraft entered into an early-stage contract with our chosen supplier for the 132/33kV grid transformer for the new substation.

Principal Contractor for the 132kV grid works selected

Following an extensive tender process, Statkraft entered into an early-stage contract with our chosen ICP (Independent Connection Provider) for the 132kV detailed electrical design works and the procurement of associated equipment required for the new substation.

Bellmouth access created

In early April 2025, Statkraft implemented their planning permission, by contracting their civil contractor for the design and construction of a new bell mouth entrance to the Stargoose Solar Farm site.
